Travel and Trip Advisors Reviews for Hohmeyer's Lake Clear Lodge

Our stay was amazing, Kathy and Ernest pleasantly helped us to enjoy every minute of our stay. The food and wine tasting was more then we would have thought to experience and then some. After we walked the wintery snow cover trails and gazed at the mountains over the lake. Arriving back to the cabin to sit by a beautiful wood burning fire place was the top of our peaceful and refreshing getaway. We will defiantly be returning again and this time for a much longer stay.

My husband & I enjoyed the last dinner of our honeymoon at The Lodge on Lake Clear. The place was a special combination of Adirondack Great Camp history & culture with Old World cuisine all twisted together for a unique experience. From the extravagant wine & beer selection, to the fresh ingredients in the tomato & basil soup, to the Wild-Caught pike with Rosti, all of the flavors were savory & melted in your mouth. My personal favorite was Kathy's attention to detail with gluten free ingredients. Her gf cornbread was the best I have ever had! This is definitely a safe place for gf diners. A few other highlights from the evening included walking down to Lake Clear at sunset, the friendly wait staff, & quiet candle lit dining room.

2.  The travelers that have real relationships with owners/staff rarely need to write on social sites, they send hand written cards and emails
